7 Food Items That Whiten and Strengthen Teeth

What are some of the food items that can help our teeth clean and healthy? Here are some top food items that you probably have in your household.

Water

Probably the most important and healthy drink is clean, healthy water. Drinking water, especially filtered alkaline water, will neutralize pH of your saliva and brighten your smile.

Celery

High water content and high fiber content of this vegetable will help you keep your teeth white and clean. Fiber acts as nature’s toothbrush and helps reduce plaque buildup.

Apples

Apples are high in fiber and have malic acid, which is known to have mile whitening effect. Strawberries also are high in malic acid but it also has pigments. They are absolutely healthy for your health but the healthy red pigments in berries can stain teeth. Just make sure to drink water to flush out the sugar and pigments in fruits.
