Finish the fight against Breast Cancer!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. It is an effort to create impact and reduce the stigma of cancer in the breast; through education on the symptoms and treatment. The pink ribbon or the pink shirts are the most prominent symbol of breast carcinoma awareness.
It’s a great way to volunteer with your family, friends, coworkers, or any other group. You can develop your skills by helping to plan the event or be a participant and lead a team, all while growing rewarding friendships and helping your community. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer volunteer opportunities are great for anyone who wants to help finish the fight against breast cancer.
The video below shows how the whole Madison Avenue Dentists PC team together with our families, joined forces to support our amazing co-worker, Wendy who is battling with Breast Cancer and will hopefully survive it!
In our office, we don’t just value our patients and services; we take a stride to care about our employees who are the extension of our expertise. The people working in our dental office are like a family to us.
Last Sunday, October 14, Dr. Oh and Dr. Estafan together with their 2 daughters, Office Manager Claudia, Hygienist Angela all met in Central Park with 13 other friend and family members for the “Making Strides for Cancer” walk. Wendy was also there with family members. Our work family pulled together for her. We all miss having her at work and wish her a speedy recovery.
